INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

According to your needs, individual therapy might focus on skill building, introspective work looking into your past, or existential work finding meaning – or all of the above.

A good therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of making good therapeutic change. I focus on creating a safe space and providing my clients with genuine positive regard to allow them the ability to express and examine their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors fully. I want to help people understand themselves better and learn how they can make positive choices to live happier lives. Through genuine interactions, clients will begin to unravel the habitual patterns that keep them thinking the same thoughts, feeling the same negative emotions, and repeating the same unhelpful behaviors that are affecting their lives.

I believe the brain naturally focuses its power on trying to find solutions to problems, typically focusing on the negative and beating ourselves up about the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that we struggle with. One part of my practice is utilizing mindfulness techniques that can provide insight, build positive thinking, and promote self-compassion.
